Putting trees into people's hands on Arbor Day, during Earth Week - or anytime - is basic, bottom-line conservation and a universally-accepted expression of sound environmental stewardship. Naturally, any company far-sighted enough to sponsor a tree-growing program will surely be sowing the seeds of PR success as well - building its own image and that of its whole industry.
